Frequently asked questions
Is the £10 consultation fee separate from the treatment fee?
Yes. The consultation covers your TCM assessment and diagnosis. If treatment follows in the same session, the relevant treatment fee applies in addition.
Does my NHS GP referral affect my insurance claim?
Some private insurers require a GP referral before authorising complementary therapy claims. Check your policy terms — we can provide any clinical documentation your insurer requires.
Are herbal granules included in the consultation fee?
No. Herbal granules are prescribed following your consultation and charged separately at £10 per day of prescription.
What does the 20% first-visit discount apply to?
The discount applies to your first treatment session — acupuncture or integrated treatment. It does not apply to the consultation fee or herbal prescription.
Do I need to inform you I'm using insurance before my appointment?
Yes. Please let us know at the time of booking so we can prepare the correct documentation and ensure the session is coded correctly for your insurer.
My insurer isn't listed — can I still claim?
We issue detailed itemised receipts for all sessions. Most policies that cover complementary therapy will accept these for manual reimbursement. Contact us before booking and we will advise on required documentation.
